Made up of a single string, it is attached to a flexible stick and will on occasion have a resonating chamber. The Endingidi is played with a bow, unlike other single string instruments.

Named after the kind of sounds the instrument produces, it is primarily played to enunciate words and phrases within larger performance ensembles.
